Trans Stellar is open to Queer Filmmakers only.

LGBT+ includes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, non-binary, hijra, pansexual, asexual, third gender, genderfluid, two-spirit, and other identities. Queer encompasses all of these identities, as well as any identities that fall “between” or “outside” these labels. Queer was once largely considered a slur, but has been reclaimed by the community as early as the 1980’s. Queer is the preferred term for TSFF, however if you submit and do not wish to be labeled under the queer umbrella, please let us know.

The filmmaker is someone who maintains significant creative control over the content of the image and story. This position is usually director. If you hold a different position, but feel you meet these qualifications, feel free to submit and your case will be considered.
